TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION

It is our duty to recognize the ongoing impacts of residential schools and the systemic injustices faced by Indigenous Peoples across Canada. At MOVE EAST, we believe that reconciliation begins with listening, learning, and taking meaningful action. This year, we are holding space in community through movement, while also sharing ways to extend that commitment beyond the studio.

We’ve gathered a list of Indigenous organizations, changemakers, and businesses that you can support, follow, and learn from. Each one plays a vital role in preserving culture, advancing equity, and building stronger, more inclusive communities.

Supporting these voices - whether by donating, engaging with their work, or choosing to shop from Indigenous-owned businesses - is one small but meaningful step we can take together toward reconciliation. We invite you to spend time exploring these resources, sharing them with others, and reflecting on the ways we can collectively contribute to healing, learning, and lasting change.
